As AI reshapes how organisations operate, the ability to translate technology into business impact is becoming a competitive differentiator. For Quento, the Qualco Group’s ICT subsidiary, it starts with putting business and people first.

In his interview with Business News Magazine, Quento CEO Nikos Psimogiannos explains what this means in practice across digital transformation, AI-driven decision-making and Quento’s growing European presence.

In one year, Quento, the ICT subsidiary of the Qualco Group, experienced rapid growth, expanding internationally and engaging in complex projects for European institutions. What is Quento, what key strategic choice accelerated this growth, and what market gap did it aim to address?

What we are experiencing today with Artificial Intelligence is a change of unprecedented scale, one that is prompting organisations to rethink their entire operating model, even the market model in which they compete.

The real challenge is not adopting a new technology, but understanding how to leverage it to strengthen competitiveness, evolve the business model, and free people to focus on what truly matters.

At Quento, as the ICT subsidiary of the Qualco Group, we aspire to be a trusted transformation partner that starts from business needs, not from technology for technology's sake.

We believe every organisation has a unique path, set of ambitions, and set of challenges. Our role is to help organisations shape the next chapter of that journey, bridging business strategy and technological capability.

This philosophy, together with our values — Ethos, Excellence, and Passion — explains our rapid growth, which is as much the result of trust as of strategy.

In a competitive, global ICT market where clients seek transformation partners, how do you want Quento to be positioned? What distinguishes you in large-scale digital transformations?

Being a transformation partner, for us, means sharing the goals of those who place their trust in us. Success is measured by the impact that a technology implementation has on the business and its people.

Our differentiation rests on the combination of business understanding, technological expertise, and a proven ability to deliver complex projects in an international environment.

We have capabilities in Data & AI, Cybersecurity, Cloud & Digital Engineering, and Enterprise Platforms, along with a strong presence across technology ecosystems such as SAP, ServiceNow, Microsoft, and AWS.

What truly sets us apart, however, is our ability to turn technological capability into measurable outcomes. We combine the agility of a modern ICT company with the stability, know-how, and investment strength of an international group with more than 25 years of experience.

The market is rapidly shifting to AI-driven models, automation, and intelligent enterprise ecosystems. How will AI and agentic AI impact management decision-making and create new opportunities for your clients?

I believe AI will influence how organisations operate more than any other technology before it. Its successful adoption starts with data and with models that serve real needs. Sound governance is what turns data into knowledge, and knowledge into action. At Quento, we help our clients build strong Data & AI Foundations by designing modern Data & AI Governance Frameworks and cloud- or sovereign-data architectures that enable real-time analytics, intelligent automation, and AI-driven insights through integrated solutions tailored to our clients' markets and needs.

At the same time, we are implementing our own AI-First strategy, embedding AI capabilities across all the services we offer, from consulting to implementation. This is creating a new cycle of delivery that is higher quality, faster, and more competitive. The organisations that will stand out are those that embed these new tools correctly into their strategy, operations, and people.

Quento has recently expanded into Romania, Belgium, and Luxembourg. What criteria guide your choice of new markets, and what is your broader international growth plan?

International growth is a core pillar of our strategy. We are focused on building a meaningful presence in markets where we can deliver real value and build long-term relationships based on trust.

We select markets with mature digital transformation needs, where our expertise can make a substantial contribution to organisations' evolution.

Our presence in Romania, Luxembourg, Belgium, and other European markets is part of a broader growth plan. Our ambition is to grow into a modern technology and transformation organisation that combines the reliability and scale of an international group with the agility, expertise, and closeness that make the difference in a working relationship.

Beyond Expo marked Quento’s introduction to an international audience. What key message did you take away, and what role does Quento aspire to play in the next phase of digital transformation?

Beyond Expo was an important moment: our official introduction to an international technology and innovation ecosystem. Our message was simple: the future belongs to those who succeed in turning new technologies into competitive advantage, growth, and better prospects.

This is what we set out to support at Quento: to be a trusted companion for organisations on this journey, helping them bridge the gap between business strategy and technological innovation.

Our ambition is to grow into a modern European technology company, recognised for the quality of our people, the trust we inspire in our clients, and our ability to help organisations achieve more than they thought possible.
